Applicant Requirements:
Applicants must meet all state and local requirements, including:

Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
-
Current and valid Texas Occupational Therapist license issued by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
-
NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
-
Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
-
Familiarity with IEP/504 processes and school documentation standards
-
Ability to pass background checks and fingerprinting as required by the district
Typical Responsibilities:
-
Conduct evaluations to assess students fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and therapy plans
-
Deliver occupational therapy services in both in-person and remote formats
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success
-
Document student progress, maintain compliance with state and district guidelines
-
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
-
Support students in developing skills necessary for academic and daily living success
